You can casually try out 'traditional stencil dyeing' , one of the Yuzen dyeing techniques.
You'll use stencils to draw on a fabric for a pass case.
While layering colors to make your very own pass case, why not learn a about Kyoto's crafts?

Let's learn about Japanese urushi crafts while looking at real things, and try painting a design on a hand mirror using the 'maki-e' technique.
Well draw the base design with Japanese urushi and then decorate it with materials like brass powder.
This time, we'll use substitude Japanese urushi so there's no worry about getting a rush.

This is a club we started because we wanted more people to
see students' work. We mainly plan and run exhibitions and
workshops. Through these activities, we hope not only to
get more people to see students' creations but also to help
students improve their motivation and skills in making t
heir work.
